2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Entsprechende Abschnitte aus dem Buch „Wissenschaft und Gesundheit mit Schlüssel zur Heiligen Schrift“ von Mary Baker Eddy.
1. vii : 14 (Die)-22, 28-9
Die Zeit für Denker ist gekommen. Unabhängig von Glaubenslehren und altehrwürdigen Systemen pocht die WAHRHEIT an die Pforte der Menschheit. Zufriedenheit mit der Vergangenheit und die starre Konventionsgebundenheit des Materialismus sind im Zerfall begriffen. Unwissenheit über GOTT ist nicht mehr der Schrittstein zum Glauben. Die einzige Garantie für Gehorsam ist ein richtiges Verständnis von Ihm, den recht zu kennen ewiges LEBEN ist. Wenn auch Reiche untergehen, „der Herr wird König sein immer und ewig“.
Seitdem die Autorin die Macht der WAHRHEIT bei der Behandlung sowohl von Krankheit als auch von Sünde entdeckt hat, ist ihr System vollständig erprobt worden und es hat sich nicht als mangelhaft erwiesen; um jedoch die Höhen der Christlichen Wissenschaft zu erreichen, muss der Mensch im Gehorsam gegen ihr göttliches PRINZIP leben. Um die ganze Macht dieser Wissenschaft zu entwickeln, müssen die Disharmonien des körperlichen Sinnes der Harmonie des geistigen Sinnes weichen, geradeso wie die Wissenschaft der Musik falsche Töne berichtigt und dem Klang liebliche Harmonie verleiht.
1. vii : 13 (The)-21, 27-8
The time for thinkers has come. Truth, independent of doctrines and time-honored systems, knocks at the portal of humanity. Contentment with the past and the cold conventionality of materialism are crumbling away. Ignorance of God is no longer the steppingstone to faith. The only guarantee of obedience is a right apprehension of Him whom to know aright is Life eternal. Though empires fall, "the Lord shall reign forever."
Since the author's discovery of the might of Truth in the treatment of disease as well as of sin, her system has been fully tested and has not been found wanting; but to reach the heights of Christian Science, man must live in obedience to its divine Principle. To develop the full might of this Science, the discords of corporeal sense must yield to the harmony of spiritual sense, even as the science of music corrects false tones and gives sweet concord to sound.

Unwissenheit und falscher Glaube, die von einer materiellen Auffassung der Dinge ausgehen, sind es, die geistige Schönheit und Güte verbergen. Paulus, der dies verstand, sagte, dass
„weder Tod noch Leben, ... weder Gegenwärtiges noch Zukünftiges, weder Hohes noch Tiefes noch irgendeine andere Kreatur uns von der Liebe Gottes zu scheiden vermag“. Dies ist die Lehre der Christlichen Wissenschaft: Die göttliche LIEBE kann ihrer Manifestation oder ihres Gegenstandes nicht beraubt werden; Freude kann nicht in Leid verwandelt werden, denn Leid ist nicht der Herr über Freude; das Gute kann niemals Böses erzeugen; die Materie kann niemals Gemüt erzeugen noch kann Leben im Tod enden. Der vollkommene Mensch, der von GOTT, seinem vollkommenen PRINZIP, regiert wird, ist sündlos und ewig.
Harmonie wird durch ihr PRINZIP erzeugt, wird von ihm regiert und bleibt in ihm. Das göttliche PRINZIP ist das LEBEN des Menschen. Deshalb hängt das Glück des Menschen nicht vom physischen Sinn ab. WAHRHEIT wird nicht von Irrtum kontaminiert. Harmonie im Menschen ist ebenso schön wie in der Musik und Disharmonie ist unnatürlich, unwirklich.

It is ignorance and false belief, based on a material sense of things, which hide spiritual beauty and goodness. Understanding this, Paul said: "Neither death, nor life, ... nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God." This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.
Harmony is produced by its Principle, is controlled by it and abides with it. Divine Principle is the Life of man. Man's happiness is not, therefore, at the disposal of physical sense. Truth is not contaminated by error. Harmony in man is as beautiful as in music, and discord is unnatural, unreal.
4. 288 : 11-28, 34-2
Wenn die endgültigen physischen und moralischen Wirkungen der Christlichen Wissenschaft vollständig verstanden sind, wird der Konflikt zwischen Wahrheit und Irrtum, Verständnis und Annahme, zwischen der Wissenschaft und dem materiellen Sinn aufhören, jener Konflikt, der

Die Ecksteine im Tempel der Christlichen Wissenschaft sind in den folgenden Postulaten zu finden: dass LEBEN GOTT, das Gute, ist, und nicht das Böse; dass SEELE sündlos und nicht im Körper zu finden ist; dass GEIST nicht materialisiert ist und nicht materialisiert werden kann; dass LEBEN dem Tod nicht unterworfen ist; dass es für den geistigen wirklichen Menschen keine Geburt, kein materielles Leben und keinen Tod gibt.
Die ewige WAHRHEIT zerstört, was die Sterblichen vom Irrtum gelernt zu haben scheinen, und das wirkliche Dasein des Menschen als ein Kind GOTTES kommt ans Licht. Die demonstrierte WAHRHEIT ist ewiges Leben.
4. 288 : 10-26, 31-2
When the final physical and moral effects of Christian Science are fully apprehended, the conflict between truth and error, understanding and belief, Science and material sense, foreshadowed by the prophets and inaugurated by Jesus, will cease, and spiritual harmony reign. The lightnings and thunderbolts of error may burst and flash till the cloud is cleared and the tumult dies away in the distance. Then the raindrops of divinity refresh the earth. As St. Paul says: "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" (of Spirit).
The chief stones in the temple of Christian Science are to be found in the following postulates: that Life is God, good, and not evil; that Soul is sinless, not to be found in the body; that Spirit is not, and cannot be, materialized; that Life is not subject to death; that the spiritual real man has no birth, no material life, and no death.
The eternal Truth destroys what mortals seem to have learned from error, and man's real existence as a child of God comes to light. Truth demonstrated is eternal life.
5. 372 : 28-35
In der Christlichen Wissenschaft ist es verhängnisvoll, WAHRHEIT zu leugnen, während eine gerechte Anerkennung der WAHRHEIT und dessen, was sie für uns getan hat, eine wirksame Hilfe ist. WAHRHEIT kann nicht durch Irrtum verunreinigt werden. Die Aussage, dass WAHRHEIT wirklich ist, schließt notwendigerweise die entsprechende Aussage ein, dass Irrtum, das Ungleichnis der WAHRHEIT, unwirklich ist.

Truth cannot be contaminated by error. The statement that Truth is real necessarily includes the correlated statement, that error, Truth's unlikeness, is unreal.
The suppositional warfare between truth and error is only the mental conflict between the evidence of the spiritual senses and the testimony of the material senses, and this warfare between the Spirit and flesh will settle all questions through faith in and the understanding of divine Love.
8. 450 : 16-27
Manche Menschen ergeben sich nur langsam der Berührung der WAHRHEIT. Wenige ergeben sich kampflos und vielen widerstrebt es zuzugeben, dass sie sich ergeben haben; aber wenn man dieses Zugeständnis nicht macht, wird das Böse sich rühmen, über dem Guten zu stehen.
Der Christliche Wissenschaftler ist angetreten, das Böse, Krankheit und Tod zu vermindern; und er wird sie durch das Verständnis ihres Nichtseins und der Allheit GOTTES oder des Guten überwinden. Für ihn ist Krankheit nicht weniger eine Versuchung als Sünde, und er heilt sie beide dadurch, dass er GOTTES Macht über sie versteht. Some people yield slowly to the touch of Truth. Few yield without a struggle, and many are reluctant to acknowledge that they have yielded; but unless this admission is made, evil will boast itself above good. The Christian Scientist has enlisted to lessen evil, disease, and death; and he will overcome them by understanding their nothingness and the allness of God, or good. Sickness to him is no less a temptation than is sin, and he heals them both by understanding God's power over them. The Christian Scientist knows that they are errors of belief, which Truth can and will destroy.

Wenn wir geduldig auf GOTT warten und WAHRHEIT aufrichtig suchen, wird Er uns recht führen. Die unvollkommenen Sterblichen begreifen die grundlegende geistige Vollkommenheit nur langsam; aber richtig anfangen und im Ringen um die Demonstration der großen Aufgabe des Seins fortfahren, heißt viel vollbringen.

WAHRHEIT ist ein veränderndes Mittel für den ganzen Organismus und kann „den ganzen Menschen ... gesund“ machen.
